The final meeting of BRC for 2011 to decide the 2011 BRC Championship was held on the 16th December 2011 at Maverick's Top Gun Academy. Many thank the Maverick and support crew Mary for a great evening includind dinner and deserts. Graet hospitality and venue. As usual it was a fun evening and there were of course the highlights:
1. Arrival started at 8.30pm with the delayed start due to late arrival of Maverick
2. Pizza were provided and were emnjoyed by the members present
3. Arrival of Dam It!, The Rok and Maverick around 9.15pm saw the meeting start around 9.20pm
4. First win of the night went to the Professor
5. Some good wins by BigBluff early set the way forward for a good night for BB
6. Some interesting games as usual including some new variations with the "George Box" being played by Developer
7. TC Jagger was keeping careful count of the wins tally between himself and BB and was deflecting unruly comnments from Banker and Developer who looked like the old pair from the Muppets on the balcony
8. Refreshments were delayed to 11.30pm with some members anxious to go to double chip bets at the 11pm usual time
9. KK presents were distributed by card draw with all scoring some good gifts. TC Jagger brought some additional gifts in the form of RPC credit card wallets. Photos were taken
10. Game recommenced around 11.45pm with all anxious to bid for the title.
11. A close fought battle saw the last hand at around 1.35am with BigBluff securing his third consecutive win of 2011 to come from 8th on the ladder to clear first place on 55 points and BRC Champion for 2011 and achieve back to back championships- What a Player!!!!
12. Second Place for the year went to TC Jagger on 51 points followed closely for third overall place The Professor on 50 points
13.In 2011 we completed 7 meetings a record. BB will be publishing a time table to fit in a max of 6 games ( min 5 game ) with a least 1 visit to the Gold Coast /Brisbane.
14. Can the strangle hold on the trophy change from BB and TC Jagger for 2012? Can other members of the BRC team stand up and be counted.
15. All bid a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year looking forward to the 2012 BRC Season
