Thanks to the host, Sniper and Mrs Sniper we again had a memorable night. Great wines and NEW York cake not to mention the snacks, and the toast our lost friends with the well-travelled Limoncino organised by the host.

Before the game got started the meeting was called and it was resolved to pass the recommendations

  1. Perpetual trophy be organised named in honour of Giovanni De Cataldo the ”Dam it” trophy for the Runners up of the games, subject to the approval and consent of Kathy.

  2. The proposal set out by BB, be carried for the determination of the winners in case of any ties for 1st and 2nd and 3rd positions.

Of course as per usual some of the members were distracted by the Souths v’s Easts game, for the right to play in the grand final. Won by Souths who now face the Bulldogs next week. May the best team win in a tight finish.gg

TC Jagger forgot to organise the draw for the losers of the BRC Tipping competition, which BTW was won by TC Jagger, a clear leader from Round 6 and never head off. BB got within a couple of points but crash and burned in the final rounds to end up about 5th.

Final positions in the BRC tipping competition were as follows

TC Jagger ( a Manly Sea Eagles supporter) first place with 129 points and was 620th position across the whole tipping competition out of 99,900 tipsters, followed by Artemus with 126 points ( another manly supporter) and then RAM in 3rd position ( Roosters supporter ) with 122 points, Spetsnazki winner of the Streak with 8 consecutive correct tips.

I have attached the final updated results with game 5/14 and only 1 round left. The winner for the evening with Developer with a heavy win of $65, then followed by Banker with $40 with and Punter with a small loss of $1,  This is the first time on record that only 2 players came out positive and the remaining players in the red.

After allocating the points,  we have a new leader TC Jagger on 35 points and 3 other members in equal 2nd on 32 points Prof, Developer and Sniper. A further 3 points behind on 29 points, Banker and the Rok. Depending what happens in the next round. The first 7 members still have the chance to win the tournament for 2014, but,  it is a big BUT…, it will be difficult to topple TC Jagger this year. Although last year Punter did come from behind and pip TC Jagger  at the post and cleared the requirement by a 2 point margin.

This year’s results clearly is the tightest for some time. If any of the current top 4 members end up in a tie, Developer will have an advantage in that he has already won 2 first this year. No other is in that position.

Good luck next round, and may the best Jagger win the 2014 Competition.

TC Jagger
