It was another excellent BRC meeting on Friday night.  Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Developer for excellent hosting, and to Mav for bringing along additional goodies - no-one would have left feeling hungry!
Also, congratulations to Developer for being BRC Champion for 2015 a well deserved.
As discussed on the night, I propose that BRC LXX be scheduled for 5 February 2016 here at the Mosman lookout.  Please confirm that this is OK.
Regards.

Dear BRC Members

As well expressed by Sniper, it was a very enjoyable meeting, great food ( fresh cuts meats and cheeses with party pies and sausage rolls), wine and exchange of Kris Kringle gifts with the usual banter to get "TC Jagger" of the Podium. Mixed in with some tactics to ensure BigBluff did not get his 3rd Championship. No mention of Developer who in the end of the night achieved the 2nd place with a late flurry of a few good wins, to stay ahead of the pack and win his first Championship and the privilege of engraving his name on the Walter Trophy (and the first trophy of his career). Finishing on 47 points, 7 points clear of 2nd place.  Congratulations to Developer for a consistent year who won without winning any of the games in 2015, but not finishing lower than 5th position in any of the rounds.

The final results for championship 2015 is attached FYI.

It is interesting to note, with 7 Championships completed we now have 6 different winners. This leaves only Maverick, Banker and Rok without a Championship and only Maverick and Banker without a podium finish. Will 2016 championship change these results? Or will 1 of the other players win another championships.

The results for the final game 6/2015 are as follows.

Punter winner on the night, followed by Developer, Banker, TC Jagger, Maverick, The Rok, Sniper, Professor and at the rear BigBluff, who achieved 2 first at the beginning of the year and 2 last places at the rear of the year.!!!!. Crashed and burned as predicted.

Fortunately the tactics to get TC Jagger, failed to push him off the podium, finishing 2nd (and winner of the Damn it Trophy) for the year on 40 points and BigBluff 3rd on 38 points, by the skin of his teeth from Sniper on 37 points ( who only needed to finish better than 6th place to achieve a 3rd place). Only 4 members achieved positive position. With 3rd place (Bigbluff) achieving the worst negative position for the year.

This is now 7 consecutive trophies for TC Jagger!!!!. The next best is remains at 3 trophies for BigBluff ( is recent 3rd place is his first place trophy in 4 years) followed by Rok with 2/2nd places and 1 3rd place.

Some stats for future reference in a 6 game competition where no double points for the final game is used.

1) To ensure achieve a podium, you must finish the year with a least 40 points or more (an average of 6 or 7 points a game)
2) To ensure a first place, at least 45 points is needed (7 to 8 points a game).
3) With 6 different winners in 7 years, is indication, everyone has a chance to win if you attend every game. Rok missed 1 game this year and ended up with 32 points and as a result it played a significant role in the final results. He only needed to turn up and finish in the middle of the field with say 5 or 6 points. This would have at least potentially finish on the podium.

At the moment the first game for 2016 is scheduled for Sniper's hideout ( Mosman lookout) on the 5 Feb 2016. ( looks ok for me).
The best of luck for 2016.

A merry Christmas and Happy and prosperous New Year 2016.

Regards
TC Jagger.

Fellow BRC members

As highlighted by already by Mav and sniper another entertaining night, wonderfully hosted by the Banker who was in a good stirring mood. Great anti-pasta was served. Unfortunately The Rok could not turn up feeling ill and needing to go home to recover. He was missed by all especially those below him in the competition to gain advantage and those above him to move further away. I guess that makes up everyone. Hope the Rok recovers quickly to make the last round of the year game LXIX ( 69 for those who can’t read roman numerals).

A few people did not her the full story of Sam, because of their hearing problems including the Banker’s dog. She was enjoying the company and the attention of the group, being fed with the delicacies of the evening.

The results of round 5.  TC Jagger winning the night just ahead of Maverick  followed by the Host , the Banker.  Over all 4 ended in positive and 4 in the negative. Big Bluff had a terrible time but lived up to his standard either winning the night or losing the night. On this occasion he appears to have broken a record for the biggest loss since the start of the competitions of $70,  beating his own previous record of $68
Of interest 3 games recorded a genuine royal flushes as the winning hand, and on 1 occasion TC Jagger holding at the same time both 5 Aces and genuine Royal flush

So after 5 rounds for 2015, the lead has changed. See the attached

Developer has now moved into first place with 38 points.
In 2nd place Big Bluff, behind in 2 points on 36 points.
In 3rd place on 33 points , TC Jagger and Sniper.
In 5th place on 28 points Banker
In 6th place on 27 points The Rok.
In equal 7th place  Maverick and Punter, on 26 points.
In 9th position on 16 points The professor.
From the current position of the competition table the champion for 2015 can only from the first 4, ie Developer, BB, TC Jagger and Sniper. May the bets Man win.

I guess the next round on 11 Dec , it will be the task to come with appropriate games to suit the 69th game, the final round for 2015.
