Pregame dinner was attended by BB, Punter and TC Jagger at the nearby West Leagues Club. Punter enjoyed a 500g Steak/egg/chips and salad.
On a wet and miserable night LIV meeting was held at the water proof GT’s Garage. Apologies from Maverick who was stuck in Hobart and from Developer who was holidaying in Port Douglas but had GT as his paid Proxy.

After an initial discussion of the BB call to change the betting system etc, the vote was called and on all points, ( 1. Change to cashless game/2. GT to Play/ 3. $15 membership once off payment/4. Additional proxy if GT already taken) and the negative (No) votes were declared the winner, with the exception of item 3 where the $2 entry fee would be changed to a $15/person upfront entry fee commencing 2014 competition.

Our thanks go to GT and Mr’s GT for hosting the evening including the welcoming posters beautifully prepared by GT junior, Brendon. Developer secured GT’s services as proxy for the night, unfortunately that left Maverick
without a proxy. ( first come first serve basis). With regards to the evenings event, ROK was on target to break a new record and go without winning a hand on  3 conservative meeting. By the ¾ mark GT ( Developer), Sniper and the ROK, still had not won a hand. Fortunes did changed towards the back end of the night, so much so that ROK hand won a few hands and avoiding the 3 ducks in a row.

Dam it’s!! luck seemed go very well in the first half of the session winning some major hands and then maintained the lead till the end of the night.

The results of the night meeting;

Dam it!! clear leader with $31 gap, with ROK 2nd , followed by Punter in 3rd. Only 3 members in the positive with remaining members in negative with TC Jagger in 4th ,just below breakeven, BB 5th , Banker 6th (with 40 cents separating), Professor 7th , Sniper 8th and Developer at the rear.

Following the above results , Punter moves ahead to first by leap frogging the Banker who drops to 2nd and TC Jagger on to 3rd, with only 1 point separating each member. The biggest movers of the night were Dam it!! , who moves up to 4th and the ROK who moves up to 6th.

Until the Next meeting , LV.

Regards
TC Jagger

Notes from The Rok:

I would like to thank the GT  family for hosting BRC LIV . The venue as always .... comfortable & welcoming ( especially the welcome posters ). I particularly enjoyed the chequer board patterned table cloth in keeping with the race car theme of the venue.
It was good to finally come back ... with a podium finish after such a miserable run of luck.
I noted that there was a lot of posturing and rule quoting on the night ;  about radical changes to the manner in which our competition is run.

In particular ... a radical proposal by one member , to change the game to a non-cash event .  This was thankfully howled down by all members as non-sensical despite his efforts to garner support by offering " bribes for votes " in the form of  free beers.
I would like to take this opportunity to have the use of  " THE DICE " voted upon and ratified by the members .

I move that we allow the use of the dice at the next BRC. The use of the dice would allow us to further complicate & expand  our already convoluted games
Could we please bring this matter to a vote prior to the commencement of the next meeting?

GT - Thank you once again !

Regards to all

Thanks to GT for resurrecting the classic LP  Vinyl hits from Pink Floyd/Bruce Springsteen/Angels etc

Punter's 500g steak etc + a few beers, caught up with him near the end of the night as he struggled to stay awake
