Notes from TC Jagger

Well the end of the 2014 Championship was a close and thrilling affair.

Firstly many thanks to Maverick and Mary for their generous hospitality. Plenty of wine and good food was consumed.

Only 8 players for the night, Developer missing in action and hoping that Stats would proxy for him for the night, but to no avail. Stats was exhausted and arrived late after a heavy baseball game at St Ives.

The Game started a bit slow, with Professor having trouble winning his first game. Nothing was coming his way. The wise man decided to take a break and try to change his fortune by meditating. On his return his fortune did change??

The overall stats were as follows

Punter 2 wins for the night Banker 6 wins and 2 shared pots

BB 6 wins and 2 shared pots

Sniper 3 wins

TC Jagger 2 wins and 5 shared pots

Maverick 8 wins

Rok 3 wins and 4 shared pots

Prof 3 wins and 1 shared pot.

40 hands over 4 hours = 10 hands/hour. With 18 hands won on 5 of a kind. Despite the suggestion that Punter had cashed in twice , the evidence did not support this as the cashing of chips at the end of the night matched the $, within 20 cents. Hence no tie. The positions as declared on the night are confirmed.  Final results attached.

Results for the night.

1st and Winner for the night Big Bluff ( and collector of the prize) , 2nd Maverick, Professor 3rd, Sniper 4th, Rok 5th, Banker 6th, Punter 7th and TC Jagger at the rear.

An amazing night, with TC Jagger thinking ( with a high pitch thrill) he had won a key hand when in fact won by Sniper ( 1 of 3 wins). The only real excitement of the night!!! Approaching the end of the night the position looked very tight and TC Jagger losing heavily on the last 3 hands, resulting in a heavy loss.

2014 BRC Championship results as follows:

1st Place - Professor (2014 BRC Champion) on 40 Points ( the lowest winning score since inception of the games) and indicating a very close competition.

2nd Place – Sniper on 39 points  (only 2000 chips separated by the 1 point. Winner of the Dam it trophy

3rd Place - TC Jagger on 38 points ( Crashed and burned again for the 2 year running from a leading position to pipped at the post)

4th Position  Maverick on 37 Points

5th position  The Rok on 35 points

6th position  Banker on 34 points

7th position  Developer on 32 points

8th position Punter on 30 points

9th position Big Bluff on 28 points

12 points separating first from last.  If only Developer had turned up. The dynamics would have been totally different??? And could have may be even push out TC Jagger out of the podium finish.!!!!! TC Jagger collects his 6th trophy?

Well done to Prof Champion 2014.

Best Regards, TC Jagger

1. Thanks to Nick and Mary for hosting another enjoyable BRC evening.

2. Apologies for leaving my Kris Kringle bottle of wine at home. I will bring it for Nick and Mary to the next meeting.

3. Congratulations to Professor for being Champion for 2014.

4. It is an honour to be the first winner of the Giovanni "Dam It" De Cataldo trophy. I will now have personal trophies for coming first, second and third - is that a full house or a straight?

5. 13 February 2015 is OK for me.

Happy Christmas to thee and thine.

Regards.

I wish to offer my thanks to Nick & Mary for hosting another meeting of the BRC.

Nick , Please pass on my thanks to your mother-in-law for the wonderful Keftedes she made. I think I scoffed most of them . It took me back to 1993 when I had 2 Greek business partners and we would always go to the Greek Community Club on Fridays for lunch.

I take this opportunity to wish you & your families a very happy and safe Xmas. May 2015 be a very good year for all .

The Rok

The True Peoples' Champion.
