Thanks to GT and Mrs GT for hosting BRC XXXVI at the Raceway, venue and refreshment were much appreciated by the members. As usual its was a good night with some highlights as follows:

1. Saturday night venue was a first in consideration of attendance by Maverick by Skype.

2. Pre Game Dinner was had at the West Ashfield Leagues Club with BB, The Rok, Punter and Professor on time followed by late arrival of the Jagger and Developer due to Jagger not reading/remembering  6.30 start! Dinner finished at 8.15pm with arrival at the GT Raceway after 8.30pm.

3. Ladies night was also in progress at Lugarno Seafood attended by Mrs - BB, Jagger, Rok and Developer. Texts were sent back and forth as the champagne was noted to be flowing at Lugarno

4. Full attendance by the members except for Dam It!! who was schedule to arrive late

5. The pre arranged Skype log in and attendance by the Maverick was almost derailed by the minor detail of GT not having a broadband connection. A fact that only became clear as the Jagger tried to connect to the Maverick.

6. With looks of disbelief amongst the members, BB came to the rescue, doing a dash all the way back to Lugarno to get his USB Modem and laptop, returning in recod time to get the Maverick on line before 10pm.

7. The Maverick came through loud and clear after initially some video problems. Requests for the Maverick to prove he was wearing pants while seated was complied with,  much to the relief of the members

8. The games flowed with the luck favouring the Professor/ The Rok and The Developer in the first half of proceedings.

9. The Professor introduced the new game of "The Fat Snake" Texas much to the delight of all members

10. The Jagger managed not to spill any wine for a change

11. The Sniper made some comment during the game that urged the members to clap in appreciation??

12. Dam It !! arrived around 11pm. Coffee break occurred at 11pm with the Maverick being escorted via laptop upstairs to join the members for coffee and cake and to have a chat from the laptop!!

13. Game resumed at 11.30pm for the serious business end of the night. Some large pots were won, with The Rok, Developer and BB scoring some good wins.

14. The Sniper left around midnight as he had to go singing in german the next day, followed by the Professor and then Dam It!! would had run out of cash and had decided to watch near the end instead.

15. Winner of the evening was the Rok with BB second and Developer 3rd with all other members  out of pocket. Biggest Loser was the Maverick with second last being the Jagger!! The Rok is still the current BRC Competition Leader 2010.

16. Game ended at 2am

Many Thanks to GT & Stella for hosting the always quiet & reserved BRC meeting.

The venue, eats, nibbles & treats were excellent as always.

It was a great night & made the better for having Maverick on board ... albeit with Skype which functioned extremely well. Much better in fact than when BB signed in from the Desert.

Maverick .... Your marker has been called in .... please settle up your account with the "Bank of Caristo " .
Or else expect a visit from Rocco & Knuckles collection agency.
Remember , you still have one good leg !

I have to point out that the current & undisputed leader of this year's BRC comp is non other than " ME " .
Gentlemen ... form on the board ... " Catch me if you can "

I look forward to our next meeting.
