First meeting of the 2012 season of BRC was held at GT's Workshop. Thanks to GT and his crew for great venue and hospitality. As usual there were highlights as follows:
1. Dinner at Wests Leagues Ashfield was attended by BB, The Rok, TC Jagger and Punter.
2. The 4 from dinner arrived around 8.15pm to find GT, Banker and Dam It already waiting.
3. It had been decided to postpone the vote for last round points system until 11pm break
4. The betting revamp was however voted on, as proposed by The Rok, to include a $100 chip ante with first round betting of $200 to a $800 cap with no small or big blind followed $600 betting to a cap of $2,400
5. Betting was subsequently modified to $500 for 2nd round to a cap of $2,000. This betting was to be applicable for entire game.
6. Punter started off proceeding with a half spill of red wine next to TC Jagger. Lucky for F1 chequered black table cloth that masked the stain.
7. First win of the night to Professor
8. TC Jagger was playing conservatively and quietly all night. The Real TC Jagger was no where to be seen??
9. New game proposed by Banker involved Texas with strip and using only 1 or 3 cards was very interesting
10. Maverick arrived around 9.30pm followed by Sniper just afterwards. Calls of "Snipper" were heard in reference to earlier emails
11. Developer arrived around 10.30pm
12. Vote taken at 11pm coffee and cake break for points last round of year. The Rok's motion for changing the points system was carried. The Rok's proposal to have same points all rounds was carried, much to BB's and TC Jagger's disappointment and amasement.
13. BB raising and capping the betting on one round and then dropping out the next round of betting
14. Maverick being stripped of pair of wild cards and other pairs on 3 occasions on the night
15. 2 Genuine Royal Flush hands on the night - Maverick and Sniper
16. GT to draft up new Constitution changes and submit for Web site updating.
17. BRC Photos were taken
18. BB came from behind to scoop up the last 3 hands of the night and be declared winner, including having pocket Jacks in his favourite game of 'Jack in the Box" followed by Professor then Sniper for 3rd place. Top 3 were the only ones to finish with positive winnings. Total invested =$260 which was average so the new betting as proposed has averaged out to be as per previous games.
